5月21日上午，曲江一中举行新学期第十一周升旗仪式。升旗仪式由学生会副主席刘增禹主持。

早晨9:50，升旗仪式准时开始。升旗仪式第一项是升国旗、奏唱国歌。在初二10全体同学的领唱下，全体师生行注目礼，少先队员行队礼，五星红旗冉冉升起，庄严肃穆。

升旗仪式第二项由初二10班陈怡欣同学宣读国旗下的讲话。仪式第三项，由初二1班牛孙家烨同学做一分钟英语演讲。仪式第四项由初二10班吴思宇同学宣读上周值周检查结果。

最后，在初二10班李姿萱同学的带领下，全体学生诵读陆游和毛泽东的《卜算子·咏梅》，升旗仪式在响彻校园的朗朗书声中结束。

国旗下讲话

珍爱生命，防火防水

初二10班陈怡欣

老师们同学们，早上好。我是初二十班的陈怡欣，我今天演讲的题目是《珍爱生命，防火防水》。

水火皆为人类的生命之源，几千年之前，原始人发现并保存了火种，才有了熟食和许多技术的发展；水的重要性自然更加不言自明，人们三天不饮水就会死亡。黄河，长江等壮丽景象成为中国的标志景观。

然而，水火无情。如今五月过半，盎然的春意渐渐消散，取而代之的是炎热的夏季，此时的高温，正为许多灾害创造了条件，故此时火灾呈多发态势，且原因复杂多样。如夏季家电使用频繁，导致短路进而爆炸；插座使用过量，导致超负，进而着火；打火机放到曝晒下的车里，温度过高导致着火......所以，平时要经常检查注意家用电器的检修情况，人离开时要熄灭明火，尽量做到杜绝一切火源。若不幸家中或发生火灾或看到火情，要及时拨打119，将被子，毛巾，衣物等打湿披在身上，弯腰通过楼梯离开。

夏季最常见的运动是游泳，许多家长会带领孩子到户外郊游避暑。为了生命安全，应该在下水前了解水深，结合自身的情况，在成年人的带领下游泳。要时刻注意防水，若有人不慎落水，不要贸然下水救人，要寻求成年人的帮助，并及时拨打急救电话120。

同学们，安全是第一位的，只有安全健康的现在，才能创造美好的未来。大家一定要增强安全意识，牢记安全常识，意外一定会离我们越来越远。

Grain Buds

Dear teachers and students, I am a student from Class1 Grade8 .Today I will talk about one of 24 solar terms, Grain Buds. In Chinese ,it is called小满.It begins on May the 21^st this year, and ends on June 4. It means that the seeds from the grain are becoming full but are not ripe

We can eat fish during the "Grain Buds" period. A saying about rain during this time mentions, "A heavy rainfall makes the river full." Because of the great increase in rainfall, which makes fish and shrimp big and fat. So, it is a good time to eat fish and shrimp.

It is also important to exercise to keep healthy during these days. Walking, jogging and practicing tai chi are popular.

High temperatures and humidity are common during the Grain Buds period. The increase in temperature over this season may also give rise to nettle rash, rheumatism, sweat spots, eczema and other skin diseases.

This time is a good period of the quick growth of flowers, too. It is also a season when plant diseases and pests are at an all-time high, which makes growing flowers even more critical. And weeding should be done as they grow quickly and have to be extirpated in order to keep the soil loose and from competing with the flowers for nutrients.
