2016年5月6日下午,来自美国匹兹堡Duquesne 大学的Joseph C. Kush教授为我校全体英语教师在新录课教师做了一场题为Strategies for Reading and Listening Comprehension for Middle School的报告。曲江一中常务副校长陈勇刚与老师们一同参加了本次活动。报告由英语教研组长张亚权主持。
本次报告内容以中学英语听、读策略为核心,旨在为中学英语教师的日常教学提供理论帮助,从而改进教学策略。Joseph C. Kush教授通过介绍Jeanne Chall编著的Stages of Reading Development一书让老师们对学生各个阶段应该掌握的阅读能力有了宏观了解。3H方法(Here Questions, Hidden Questions, Head Questions)也为阅读教学提供了新思路。
报告之后,樊青老师和佀艳英老师分别呈现了阅读课型说课和听力课型说课。Kush教授在听课后做了详细点评,并和老师们互动交流,高度赞扬了我校英语课堂教学和老师们的专业素养。

Joseph Kush is a professor in the Instructional Technology program in the School of Education. He serves as the director of the doctoral program in Instructional Technology and Leadership. He uses Macintosh computers exclusively.
Research interests include issues related to test fairness and test bias in minority and special needs populations. Additional research interests include the use of technology to assess cognitive skills.
